This prayer asks for healing for the sick, wealth for the poor, and peace and health for the people of Israel and all of humanity. Liska has historically been an important place in Jewish life, especially because it was where the Liska Rebbe established a remarkable synagogue, which was one of the largest in Europe then. The spirit of the town and its tzadik endures brightly in Jewish communities, with many visiting to ask for blessings in accordance with the Kivrei Tzadikim tradition.

Rebbe Hershele Lisker (רבי הערשעלע ליסקער), also known as Zvi Hirsh Friedmann (צבי הירש פרידמאן) and the esteemed author of Ach Pri Tevu'ah (אך פרי תבואה), was one of the prominent Hasidic leaders whose teachings still resonate with his followers today. The Rebbe was a disciple of the famous Teitelbaum Moshe zt"l (משה טייטלבוים זצ״ל), also known as the Yismach Moshe (ישמח משה), from whom he gained deep Torah knowledge and chassidic wisdom. In Hasidic communities, particularly among Satmar followers, the close disciple relationship remains significant, honoring the legacies of both Teitelbaum and Rebbe Hershele Lisker.
